There is a fairly wide range of Kodak digital cameras with very different styles, and there are a few models that are not really suitable for photomicrography because they have lens systems that are too small. The majority that can be used need the Unilink and Linkarm combination. Two models that have extruding zoom lenses also have screw threads that are suitable providing the appropriate Kodak adapter tube is used. This forms a conduit that allows the lens to zoom freely within it and the adapter has a screw thread at the end for attaching the Unilink (via a step ring). A small number have a screw thread that will connect directly to the Unilink via a step ring.
Kodak DX3500 (27mm), DX3600(30mm), DC4800(43mm)
DC200(37mm)
These cameras have lens screw threads (shown in brackets) and via a step ring will attach directly to the Unilink. For example the DC4800 would need a 43-37mm step ring and the DC200 would not need a step ring as the Unilink screw thread is already 37mm.
Unilink: £38.30, Step rings £9.50 each
DX6490, DX6440
These two cameras need Kodak part number 1525088 which finishes in a 55mm screw thread and the Unilink can then be attached to this via 2 step rings - 55- 46mm and 46-37mm. These are relatively wide lenses and some vignetting will result unless the zoom is used to crop this out.
Unilink: £38.30, Step rings £9.50 each
DX7590, CX7530, DX7440, CX7330, CX7430, DX7630, DX4530, DX6440, DX4330, LS633, DX4900, DX3900, DX3215, DC5000, DC215, DC280, DC220, DC260.
None of these Kodak digital cameras have a screw thread on their lens housing and cannot screw directly to the Unilink. However the Linkarm adapter attached to the Unilink will provide a permanent framework to attach any camera by its tripod bush so that it is held securely “looking” down the Unilink. The unique adjustment mechanism of the Linkarm means that it will fit any camera to the Unilink with a few simple adjustments. The frame is then secured in shape using the allen key provided. The Linkarm can be removed from the camera without the frame shape be released, and the camera can be reintroduced very simply when required. Full instructions provided.
Unilink: Price £38.30, Linkarm: Price £17.02
CX7220, LS743, LS753, CX6230, CX6330, LS443, DX3700, DC3400, DC240
These cameras have quite small lenses that have a rectangular frame around the lens that may cause field of view problems.. If you are in doubt hold the camera against the eyepiece of your microscope and see what sort of result you get. If you are satisfied and the camera has a tripod bush then the Unilink and the Linkarm would be required.

CX7300, DX6340, CX4300, DC3200, DC3800, DC210plus

CX6200, CX4200, LS420, MC3
These particular models have very small lenses, and although the Unilink and Linkarm would fit them. Its is very unlikely that the type of image obtained would be considered satisfactory.
