The SP-250 is a excellent example of a modern design concept. The microscope is based on a large stable stand finished in grey enamel. Incorporated into the microscope head is a 1/3 inch colour CCTV device. There are two output systems - analogue suitable for TV/Monitor and digital suitable for direct download to PC/Laptop via a USB connection (Windows platform), USB and phono/scart connection connection leads are provided.
The base of the microscope contains double electronic processing so that TV and PC connection is possible either independently or together. The microscope will also attach directly to a digital projector.
The video output and binocular optical pictures have been matched and are parfocal with an equivalent field of view under normal circumstances. The microscope is used as normal and when CCTV imaging is required, either on a monitor, portable television, laptop/PC the device is connected to the appropriate microscope output. An image is obtained automatically without any further attachments being needed.
CCTV Device Specification:
1/3 inch sensor, output analogue-520 lines resolution and digital 640 x 480 pixels resolution, auto iris control. Included software contains the necessary drivers and a simple video clip program The computer output is TWAIN compliant and still images can be imported into most standard photographic software such as Photoshop, Serif Photoplus, Micrografix etc.
Microscope Specification:
The binocular head has full interocular and dioptric adjustment with x10 widefield eyepieces. The unit has a backward facing quadruple nosepiece, with objectives x4, x10, x40 and x100 (oil). The large mechanical stage has drop down controls and a double vernier scale.
The low position coaxial coarse and fine focus controls have a tension adjustment and safety stop. The substage condenser has an iris diaphragm and filter carrier.
The 6volt 20 watt halogen illumination has full rheostat brightness control
There is a wide range of accessories including a phase contrast objective set complete with condenser and phase telescope. A digital camera can also be attached to one of the binocular eyetubes. Dark ground dry and oil condensers are also available.
