The Brunel HDMI Cameras are high sensitivity CMOS cameras that can output simultaneously to a TV screen, Laptop/PC and to an SD card. The cameras can even be operated by a mouse (attached to the camera) when the units are connected to a TV screen. All of the camera models can be used for high frame rate live view or video and still image capture. There are USB laptop/PC connection or WiFi options and the MIC Auto cameras will focus the microscope image themselves without the need to refocus the microscope. All cameras are supplied with a powerful software program that allows still image, video capture, measuring, image stitching and image stacking. As is always the case with camera technology, there are choices depending on the application that you have in mind. HDMI cameras have a very high refresh rate and are ideal for fast moving objects or for live demonstrations such as dissection.

The Brunel HDMI cameras have the following capabilities:

During HDMI to a TV/Monitor output a camera control panel and tool bar can be overlaid on the left margin of the Monitor screen and the functions can be accessed by the mouse in a similar way to a conventional PC mouse. The displayed image can be adjusted for white balance/ colour and brightness/contrast and still image and video clips can be saved to the SD card. See below.

This is an example of the image control that can be achieved when our HDMI cameras are connected directly (via the HDMI connection) to a TV/Monitor, no computer link is needed. These options are controlled by the mouse (provided) simply being attached to the USB  connection on the back of the camera and then moving the cursor to the relative margins of the TV screen as though using a computer screen.

Alternatively the mouse can be replaced by a USB 2.0 cable (or a WiFi dongle) and the video stream can then be transferred to a computer where the powerful software (supplied) allows full still image, video capture and image manipulation including measurement, stitching and image stacking.
