The BMS series of stereomicroscopes is a recent addition to our range of quality low power microscopes. A particular feature of this series is the excellent finish and optical quality that we consider cannot be bettered within this price range. The BMS models are trinocular with an integral CCTV camera option (BMSV). The microscope stand is available either as non illuminated, with a combination of incident and transmitted illumination, or as a long arm version. Stereohead Options BMSF: The BMSF stereohead is available with x1/x3 or x2/x4 objective options in a turret mount. The widefield x10 eyepieces provides overall magnification options of x10/x30 and x20/x40. Both options maybe considerably extended by the use of auxiliary objective lenses (that screw into the bottom of the objective turret) and x15 or x20 additional eyepieces. The BMSF is trinocular - which is unusual for a non-zoom stereohead, and the light path is controlled by a push/pull lever. The trinocular eyetube arrangement is suitable for CCTV, standard and digital photography. BMS: The BMS is a full zoom trinocular stereohead with a magnification range of x7.5 to x45 with the x10 widefield eyepieces. The range may be extended to include x3.5 to x180 with additional objectives and eyepieces. The zoom mechanism is operated by side arm control knobs. All BMS series stereoheads have full interocular and dioptric adjustment. BMSV: The BMSV has an identical optical specification to the BMS, but the trinocular eyetube has been replaced by an integral CCTV camera with the equivalent of 420 lines resolution. The image can be displayed on TV or monitor, and the unit comes complete with a decode unit allowing direct connection to a PC (Windows 98 and above). A very effective unit. Stand Options Each stereohead type can be supplied with either a plain stand or a full illumination option with independent rheostat controlled incident and transmitted lighting. The focus block for both stand types is the same and incorporates a robust support column with a rack and pinion focus mechanism. Plain stand: a large working area with central dissection plate and stage clips (removable). A ring light is available as an accessory, and attaches to the bottom of the stereohead turret of all models. Illuminated stand: this stand option has independently controlled incident and transmitted illumination. Both are quartz halogen 12v 20 watt systems (available in 240 and 110 volts) with easy bulb change facilities. The incident illuminator is attached to the focus block. Long arm: a heavy duty stable base with boom arm system that greatly increases the working area of the microscope. The stereohead can be fitted with an LED or fluorescent strip ring light. A transmitted light base, and large gliding stage with centre LED unit are also available for the long arm version. Prices: BMSF + Plain stand - £302.13. BMSF + Illuminated stand - £361.70 BMSZ + Plain stand - £446.81. BMSZ + Illuminated stand - £514.89 BMSF + Long arm - £506.38. BMSZ + Long arm - £676.60 to buy any of these models click this button►►►
