Quality optical performance and an impressive price

The BMSZ trinocular stereomicroscope has been a stalwart of our range of quality low power microscopes for several years. A particular feature of this microscope is the excellent finish and optical quality that we consider cannot be bettered within this price range. The BMS models are trinocular with CCTV and photography adapters available as accessories. The microscope stand is available either as non illuminated, with incident and transmitted illumination, or as long arm versions.

BMSZ Stereohead Specification

The BMSZ has a full zoom trinocular stereohead with a magnification range of x7.5 to x45 with the x10 widefield eyepieces. The range may be extended to include x3.5 to x180 with additional objectives and eyepieces. The zoom mechanism is operated by side arm control knobs. The eyetubes have full interpupillary and dioptric adjustment and eyecups are supplied as standard.

Stand Options

The stereohead type can be supplied with one of three stand options

A plain stand without lighting. Pole coarse focus with a rack and pinion finer focus and a large working area with central dissection plate and stage clips (removable). A ring light is available as an accessory, and attaches to the bottom of the stereohead turrets. (ST1)

A rheostat controlled halogen incident light coupled with a strip light transmitted system. These can be used together or independently. The stand platform has stage clips and black/white and frosted glass dissection plates (ST2)

The BMSZ can also be supplied with a Long Arm base. This consists of a large heavy stable base with a support column and boom arm. This stand greatly increases the working area of the microscope (ST3)

If supplied with stands ST1 or ST3, the stereohead can be fitted with an LED or fluorescent strip ring light. A transmitted light base, and a large Gliding Stage with centre LED transmitted light base unit are also available for the long arm version. The Gliding Stage measures 450 x 300mm and moves freely in any direction making it ideal for rapid screening of large objects. In addition the centre glass plate can be fitted with an LED back light system
