The SP55D microscope has a range of accessories available from our online shop.
The SP55D is a substantial good quality binocular microscope with an excellent optical configuration for its price. Integral to the binocular head is a stable camera CMOS chip which has easy to use software that allows full image manipulation and image measurement.
The SP55D is a binocular microscope that has a four-position turret and RMS standard achromatic objectives x4, x10, x40 and x100 (oil), and widefield x10 eyepieces giving a magnification range of x40 to x1000. There is a full mechanical stage with double vernier scale and coaxial drop-down controls. Focus is by coaxial coarse and fine focus controls with an inbuilt safety stop. The focusing condenser has an iris diaphragm and filter carrier. The illumination is provided by an extremely effective LED system and has full rheostat brightness control. The binocular head will rotate through 360°, and the camera system is enclosed within the head and shares the image with the eyepieces. No adjustment is therefore needed to bring the camera into operation. The camera unit is attached to a PC or Laptop via a USB 2.0 cable.
The camera has a 3M pixel (1280 x 1024) CMOS chip and is supported by software that is suitable for Windows XP/Vista/7/8 and 10 in both 32 and 64 bit. This is included with the microscope with the necessary drivers and of course full operating instructions. Step by step instructions are provided that require relatively little computer knowledge to get things working. This microscope will NOT work with Apple MAC
